Independant Testing: Heavy vs. Light
This study, conducted by Golf Labratories, was to replicate the study conducted
by Sport Science of the Discovery Channel (see video) to determine the effectiveness
of warming-up with a heavy weight vs. warming up with a light weight.
To establish a base-line, Golf Labratories tested 20 golfers hitting 5 golf balls
with their driver measuring speed, distance, accuracy. Once complete, 10 golfers
swung 2 clubs or a heavy weighted trainer ten times to warm-up. Then 10 golfers
swung Swingnature ten times with-out the weight.
After each golfers warm-up (either heavy weight or Swingnature) they were re-tested
hitting 5 golf balls with their driver measuring speed, distance, and accuracy.
The following images summarizes the reults of these tests.
